Option 3 - Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains is home to some of the country’s most dazzling natural attractions and is only 90 minutes from Sydney by car. With sensational views over the deep valley troughs, formed over millions of years, the lookouts at Wentworth Falls, Govetts Leap and Echo Point are spectacular. Known for dramatic scenery, it encompasses steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages dotted with guesthouses, galleries and gardens. Katoomba, a major town in the area, borders Blue Mountains National Park and its bushwalking trails. Echo Point affords views of the storied Three Sisters sandstone rock formation.
Day 1 - Sydney - Blue Mountains
Your knowledgeable guide will collect you from your hotel as you commence your small group deluxe tour into the heart of the unique Blue Mountains World Heritage Region. The Blue Mountains National Park is one of seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area. Today your guide will take you off the beaten track to visit remote lookouts and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region.
Departing the city you will travel directly to the Blue Mountains, first stop of the day is Calmsley Hill a working farm where you will meet kangaroos, emu, wombat and koalas. You will have time to enjoy morning tea and a wander at leisure. From Calmsley Hill we continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. We will visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley. Continuing on we arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point with views of the famous Three Sisters. Your guide will discuss the legends behind the famous rock formation and time is available for you to the some great photos. From here we arrive at your hotel accommodation at approximately 11 - 11:30am, the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore at your own pace.

Day 2 - Blue Mountains - Sydney
A leisurely morning to relax in the Blue Mountains. You will be collected from your hotel at approximately 11 - 11:30am to rejoin the tour group. Arrive at your lunch venue - the historic Boiler House Cafe at the stunning Hydro Majestic property. With spectacular views you enjoy a relaxing two course cafe style lunch, beverages can be purchased at your own expense.
The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts. Once you see the view from Govetts Leap you will know why it's one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. If you are not mesmerised by the dancing waves of water spray, you will be transfixed by the sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness. We then stop briefly to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, our last stop where you enjoy sweeping views across to Sydney before travelling down Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel at approximately 4:30pm.
Returns to City Hotels at approx 4:30pm on day 2
